Stitches

Peanut had his first stitches the other day. He was swinging at the playground and got caught in the chains. Bless his heart. He didnt understand why it wouldnt stop hurting.

We had to go to the ER . He was such a big boy when he received he lidocaine shot. Once he stopped screaming, he had the nurses laughing and smiling. The stitches themselves, the nurse called whiskers. He keeps asking about the whiskers and if they are ok and wants to see them all the time.

The nurses wrapped him in a sheet to restrain him and told him he was superman. He really liked that. They put a splint on his finger and added a second finger on the splint to hold it steady. The nurse told him the fingers were resting on its bed then they wrapped the splint in an ace bandage which would be the blanket. He was so funny. For hours he would ask....are they still sleeping? And then each day since, he has asked.. are they still sleeping?
